Accelerated Apprenticeship Training

With California’s Skilled and Trained Workforce mandates in effect, it is imperative that contractors be given the opportunity to meet those requirements. Currently these mandates are only in effect for certain public works projects; however, ACTA is of the opinion that they will expand into other areas in the future.

For member contractors that have employees performing work at journeyman level, ACTA created an Accelerated Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Class. There are contractor and individual requirements that must be met in order to participate in the accelerated class.

• Contractors must be a Deluxe Member to enroll their employees
• Individuals must have 10 plus years experience in the trade and pass a challenge exam
